    Abstract:

    The influence of pin length on the mechanical properties of dissimilar Al5754/ Al6111 friction stir
    spot welds has been investigated. The mechanical properties show no obvious changes when the pin length increases
    from 1. 6 mm to 2. 0 mm. However, the mechanical properties of spot welds improve a lot when the pin length increases
    to 2. 2 mm, which is the basically caused by highly serrated hOOK profiles.
