    Abstract:

    Thepackaluminizedandsiliconaluminizedat620℃for6hoursonTi-alloysheetfabricated
    byelectronbeamphysicalvapordeposition (EB-PVD)techniquewasinvestigated.Surfacesandcross-sectionsofthealuminizedspecimenswerestudiedbyscanningelectronmicroscopy(
    SEM).Phaseidentification
    oftheoxidescalewasperformedbyX-raydiffraction (GAXRD)andenergydispersiveanalysisofX-rays (EDAX).Theresultsshowthataluminizingcouldbecarriedoutat620℃.ThephaseconstructionofthealuminizedcoatingisAl3Ti.
    However,asAl3Tiphaseisbrittle,itiseasytocreatecrackinthecooling
    processduetotheheatstress.AfterAl-Sico-infiltrationat620℃,thephasesofthecoatingareAl3Tiand
    Ti5Si3.Theinterfaceisclearbutunsmooth.
