    Abstract:

    The mathematical model of fiber composite material winding steadily on ellipsoidalhead was established by application of differential geometry theory. The differential equations between winding angle/ center angle and axial coordinates were obtained,and then thickness of filament winding ellipsoidalhead was calculated by considering the geometrical relationship of winding path. The numerical example show that the calculation method reflects particular distribution rule of thickness on filament winding ellipsoidalhead, and the method can be applied to the preliminary design.
