Organometallic polymers are widely used and easy to process,and their unique properties make them a complement to advanced metal-free organic polymers.This review systematically summarizes the research progress of organometallic polymers in the fields of luminescence,photovoltaics,conduction,information storage, liquid crystal materials,functional ceramic materials,nanolithography and nanoscience,and stimulus-response materials. The applications and perspective of these materials are also discussed.
