The past and present study on Mg-Li alloy are introduced in this paper. The ternary Mg-Li alloy including Mg-Li-Al system, Mg-Li-Zn system, Mg-Li-Ag system and other ternary system and the quaternary alloy are recommended in details. The future development of Mg-Li alloyis also put forward.
