Abstract:High-entropy ceramics are a novel class of ceramic materials, which have attracted extensive attention in recent years because of their unique structure and properties. In this review, the definition of high-entropy ceramics has been introduced and the preparation methods of high-entropy ceramics,such as solid-state reaction, precursor pyrolysis and spark plasma sintering, are summarized. The research progress of high-entropy ceramics, such as high-entropy oxides, high-entropy carbides and high-entropy diborides, are discussed in detail. Finally, the characteristics and application prospects of the high-entropy ceramics are summarized.
